Born in Brooklyn, NY (December
8, 1956), this versatile and talented guitarist has had an eclectic career in the
music industry. Joining Frank Zappa's band in 1978, he quickly became immortalized
on the "Joe's Garage" album. In 1980 he founded the 80's new wave band
Missing Persons with Dale and Terry Bozzio. After six years with that band, he joined
Duran Duran, where he helped them update their sound in the 90's and co-wrote the
hits "Ordinary World" and "Come Undone." He's also part of the
composing/performing/producing team of TV Mania with Nick Rhodes. His solo albums
range in sound from hard rock to ambient to ethnic music. An avid bodybuilder, Warren
posed nude for the Brazilian magazine "G" in 2000, and in 2001 he organized
a summer reunion of the original Missing Persons.
